EDDIE & NOVA
The Iota Rho Chapter is unique for many reasons, but one of them is our relationship with our friends Eddie & Nova. We met Eddie and Nova's families through one of our sisters in 2016. Ever since we created this special bond, we have supported their hearing journeys, attended Philanthropic events such as Walk 4 Hearing, and bought them special Christmas presents on behalf of our Chapter. In turn, Eddie, Nova, and their families offer us the same emotional support by attending our own Philanthropy events, such as our annual Diamond Ball.
OUR PHILANTHROPY
May I give graciously of what is mine.
SPEECH & HEARING
"As the only global women’s organization with a focus on hearing and speech, Delta Zeta uses philanthropy to protect hearing, raise awareness of Deaf culture and American Sign Language and provide the opportunity of speech therapy and hearing aids to people in search of those resources. Hearing and speech have been our philanthropy focus since 1954. And now, thanks to our partnerships with Starkey Hearing Foundation and American Society for Deaf Children we can see the difference we are making here in the United States and around the world."

PAINTED TURTLE CAMP
The Painted Turtle Camp's mission is to provide a year-round, life-changing environment and authentic camp experience for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. The Painted Turtle supports children's medical needs, inspires them to reach beyond their illnesses, and provides care, education, and respite for their families. The Painted Turtle has no billing department, and all campers and families attend free of charge.
Delta Zeta adopted The Painted Turtle as its newest national philanthropy at the 2006 National Convention.
GALLUDET UNIVERSITY
Since 1954, Delta Zeta Sorority has shared a partnership with Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., the world's only university with undergraduate programs accessible to hearing-impaired students. Delta Zeta endowed the Delta Zeta Scholarship Fund and the Fine Arts Endowment Fund. In 1995, the Delta Zeta Dance Studio was dedicated. Donations to the Delta Zeta Foundation that are designated for Gallaudet University are used to fund Gallaudet Scholarships or other funding needs for the University, including endowment support for the library and performing arts.

PHILANTHROPIC WORK
Some ways in which we fundraise for our national and local philanthropies are by bake sales, dine and donates, venmo boards, selling t-shirts, and more! We also love giving back to our community through service, whether it's cleaning up the streets of West Chester with Adopt-A-Block, or local community service found through passions of our own sisters.
