Many have come to believe certain stereotypes regarding Greek Life to be true, and with that, a stigmatized environment can sometimes deter a person from joining a sorority or a fraternity. The Iota Rho chapter of Delta Zeta has been committed to destigmatizing Greek Life, committed to encouraging young women to be a part of something bigger than themselves, committed to inspire, and to allow women to grow and prosper in a community of other strong women. Delta Zeta does not advocate for the stereotypical treatment or stigmatization of other women; Delta Zeta is about lifting sisters up, women supporting other women, and encouraging other women to act as their best selves.
Delta Zeta values and prioritizes education, and because of that we have one of the top three GPA’s on campus as an sorority organization. We value diversity, which is why we have the biggest chapter on West Chester’s campus of 129 women. We value hard work, community service, and philanthropy; our executive board along with our general board are dedicated to include all sisters of our chapter in service opportunities to make our presence on campus worthwhile and beneficial for the community at large.
As 2021 rolls in and the new semester begins, the members of Delta Zeta are committing themselves to continue to break down the traditional conceptions of sorority life and are dedicating the chapter to continuing to develop a more inclusive culture for any woman who wishes to be a part of it.
